Peak One Stove Guidelines
Stoves
should always be used under close supervision by an adult.
1. Handling Fuel
- Transport fuel in bottles designed
for that purpose.
- Red bottles preferred.
- Best if marked "fuel".
- Adults handle fuel.
- Stove must be cool before filling.
- Do not overfill. Stove needs
some air in tank to run properly.
- Fill stove with filler cap or
funnel designed for that purpose.
- Wipe excess fuel from hands,
fuel bottle, and stove before storage or use.
- Store fuel at least six feet
from stove.
2. Lighting
- Clear area of burnable debris.
- Set stove on firm level surface.
- Pressurize tank. (25 pumps)
- Keep face, hands away from area
directly above burner.
- Light match
- Turn to HIGH/LIGHT. (stove lights)
- Pump 30 times.
- Adjust the flame to desired level.
3. Storage
- Allow stove to cool completely.
- Fold legs and place stove in
case.
- If stove is to be stored for
extended period remove fuel from tank.
4. Maintenance
- Clean
- Add drops of oil in pump cap
after each trip.
