Depart: Friday, 1/12/07,
3:30 pm (promptly), from Union Congregational Church
Return: Monday, 1/15/07, 6 pm (approximately)
Itinerary:
Friday:
3:30 pm - Leave church
6 pm - Eat supper (fast food - bring money)
9:30 pm - arrive @ Accomodations
Saturday:
8 am - pick up skis @ Drummonds & ski Bretton Woods trails
4 pm - head back to Highland Center for showers & supper
Sunday:
7 am - hit backwoods trail - destination Zealand Hut (or alt. to be announced
prior to 1/14/06)
4 pm - head back to Accomodations for showers & supper
Monday:
7 am - hit backwoods trail to Mt. Willard for ½ day of snowshoeing or
hiking
1 pm - return equipment & head home
4 pm - eat afternoon snack (fast food - bring money)
6 pm - arrive home
Equipment:
" Winter Clothing for 3 hiking days:
" Layers - polypro & wool
" Wicking layer - polypropylene long underwear, socks, gloves
" Warmth layer - wool socks, wool or fleece pants, shirt, sweater, hat,
gloves
" Wind/ Rain gear (pants & jacket)
" Hiking Boots
" Day pack
" See Scout handbook for personal gear for winter hike
" 2 minimum (3 preferred) - 1 quart Nalgene (wide mouth) water bottles
" Comfortable clothes & shoes for traveling
" Shower gear: towel, soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc
" Sleeping bag & pad (pad probably not necessary - everyone will have
bunks)
" Space is limited, please bring only day pack, sleeping bag & pad,
and dufflebag

Food:
" Cost of lodging includes dinner and breakfast (one dinner at Highland
Center's cafeteria)
" Cost of trip includes the crew's trail lunches and snacks for Saturday,
Sunday, and Monday

$220 (not including Friday evening snack,
Monday afternoon snack)
1st payment of $50 due (may be non-refundable): 12/20/06
2nd payment of $170 due: 1/10/07
