Maine Allagash River Canoe Trip

Trip Description:

The trek includes over 50 miles of canoing on the Allagash River in Maine. The crew will camp every night at campsites along the river. This is a true wilderness experience where sightings of moose, bald eagles, and other wildlife are common. There will be an opportunities to fish along the way. The cost includes equipment (canoes, etc), and two full-time guides (one per crew).

Depart: Saturday, July 9, 2005, 7am

Return: Sunday, July 17, 2005, 5pm

Itinerary:

Saturday, July 9th: Travel from Oakville, CT to Portage, ME (camp on guide's land)
Sunday, July 10th through, Saturday 16th: Canoe and camp on Allagash River

July 16th: Travel from Ft. Kent, ME to Wells, ME. Camp at Beach Acres
Sunday
July 17th: Travel from Wells, ME to Oakville, CT

  Backpack with garbage/plastic bag cover or water bag
  Sleeping bag with waterproof cover
