Boy
Scout Troop 52 is over 90 years old, yet
we're as young as the newest 11 year-old boy who
joins us in the spring. Besides the traditional
Scout ideals, our program
emphasizes:
- Adventure
- Leadership
Development
- Service
- Monthly
camping trips and hikes and other outdoor activities
- Service
projects
- Week
of camping at Camp Mattatuck in August
- And
FUN!
Since 1983 our High Adventure
Program for high school age Scouts has challenged our
boys. Past trips have included:
- Rugged
hiking in New England and the Rocky Mountains of New Mexico and
Colorado.
- Canoeing
in the Adirondack Region of New York and the Maine wilderness.
- Sailing
the coast of Rhode Island and Massachusetts
- Hiking,
Cycling and Sea Kayaking at Acadia National Park
- Cross
Country Skiing in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
